I recently became familiar with the artist Ian Davenport who’s mesmerizing paintings of dripping color are breathtaking. He’s an English artist who likes to use unusual surfaces like stainless steel or fiberboard in stead of canvas. He’s been known to pour, drop and even use a syringe to get his colors on to his surface of choice.
